    3. A respondent to a recent posting by me, having as its subject the BARLOW family of Ballyrannel, Glenbrien, Co. Wexford enquired if a LAMBERT, who married a BARLOW, might have been from Co. Wicklow. I have now located information concerning some Co. Wicklow LAMBERTS which might be of interest to him/her, whose E-mail address I have not retained. This concerns the emigration to the American Mid-West of over 1,000 people from counties Wicklow and Wexford led by Fr Thomas Hore in 1850. Among the passengers on board the TICONDEROGA were four LAMBERTS: Catherine (age 24);Charles (29); Mary (24) and Esther (not given). Another LAMBERT, John, ( aged 31), sailed on board the 'LOODINAGH'. This information is gleaned from 'A Farewell to Famine' , by Jim Rees and published by Arklow Enterprise Centre (1994). I hope it will be of interest to some subscriber/s. Michael O'Hanrahan.
