Seeking information about my great-great-grandmother Mary Cuff, born 1819 in Enniscorthy, Wexford, or Wexford County. I believe her religion was Roman Catholic. Her spouse was James Davey, a soldier born in Cornwall. England, ca 1809, (marriage details unknown), and their eldest child was Mary Ann, born Enniscorthy ca 1837. I believe James was Protestant. The family emigrated to Canada, sometime between 1837 and 1845. Grateful for any information, particularly about Cuff family. Sincerely, Albert Davey.
Possibly of no use but to add to yoru files, Marriage Licences for Ferns Co Weford holds two Cuff/Cuffe marriages 1- Grace Cuff marriage set date William Bolton 1748 2-Elizabeth Cuffe marriage set date Jonah Wheeler 1768 may be some fore runners to your family but I dont know just showing there were family of that name there.
