    3. Hi, I'm new to the list and have recently begun researching my grandmother's family. She was born Gertrude Byrne in Ballinrobe, County Mayo. But family history is that her father, James Byrne, ran a post office in Wicklow. Her sister Teresa later ran this post office. Teresa's married name was Brinkley. I have Teresa's death notice from 4/13/1948 at the age of 67. The info listed on it is: Teresa Brinkley Moneystown P.O., Nr. Roundwood Greystones, Co. Wicklow I'm making the "unsafe" assumption that this was the same post office. My father was wounded on "D"-Day during WWII and spent time in Ireland during his recuperation. He had some addresses written down and another one was: May Brinkley Moneystown P.O. Roundwood Bray Wicklow, Eire Has anyone every heard of either Moneystown or Greystones ? My grandmother, Gertrude Byrne, settled in Coatesville, Pa. and married Nathan FULLER . Other siblings were: Agnes Katherine (Katie) James Alice

    3. I stand corrected. I have th OS map 76 for my search area. It is taped to my wall. I find it invaluable. I looked on Seanruad's site although I spelled the Tom one wrong. On the sites I sent for b&B's it is supposed to have towns_and_country. For some reason the _ did not print. Thanks for the responses on the ferries. I may try it but not the Cat. Cyril it is easy to find the yanks. Go to any round about. We are the ones that go round and round and round. Joan

    2. Chris Moore
    3. Lester and others on the list. I am researching the Irish Palatine Poole family of Wexford Co. Specifically Old Ross and Taghmon areas. I know from some of my research that some of the other families in these same locations were Hartricks and Kehoes. I believe Jacob Poole was possibly the father or uncle to my Benjamin Jacob Poole (1798-1889). I believe Benjamin Poole traveled with an Abel Poole from Dublin? to what is now Haldimand Co, Ontario, Canada in 1817 aboard the Mary Bell. I need to try and prove or disprove the connection to the Palatine Pooles of Wexford. Does anyones family info from this time frame or area mention the POOLE family? Any help is greatly appreciated.
