    1. [WEX] ROACH, John Sr
    2. R Forte SR
    3. Hello, my name is Patricia and I am from the United States and a descendant of John ROACH (Sr) and new to this site and hoping someone may be able to help me locating records on John. John ROACH/ROCHE,(SR) b. date unknown m. Elizabeth Dunn (date unknown) b. date unknown. They may have had 4 children in County Wexford before coming to Canada. William b. 7-17-1796, John, Jr b. 7-18-1798, Margaret,1800 (there is another Margaret b. 1819 so it is apparent the first Margaret may have died thus a second child would hav been given this name, a common practice of the day), and Mary b. 11-16-1800. Perhaps they emigrated to Canada around 1801. There first child was born in 1796 so perhaps they were married around 1794-95. Assuming John was around 20 when he married he could have been b. around 1770-1774/5. I know this is a stab in the dark but you just never know. If someone can help me I would be very greatful. Thanks for your time Patricia, USA

    3. About fifteen years ago my Father`s cousin Visited Enniscorthy she must have been in her late sixties. If there had been a notice board either in Enniscorthy Castle museum or a similar place with the names and addresses of people who were from the area. It could be done alphabetically etc, She might have met her relations while she was on hollidays. Her Mother left Enniscorthy in the 1890s. Please could you contact and try to persuade something to be done.It could also be very good for Wexford`s tourist trade. Regards Peter

    1. [WEX] William Lodge, 1794
    2. sharon hiner
    3. Hi listers, I am tossing this information out for a friend in So Africa, She has had a researcher looking, to no avail. Thought somone might have a bit of information. Thanks bunches, Cheers Sharon from Montana . I am trying to find William Lodge who was born in the County of Wexford c.1794. That's all I have on him. Nothing on who his parents or siblings were nor do I have anything on where in Wexford he was born. The only 'hard fact' I have to go on at present is a letter written by (I think) his father, Francis Lodge which is as follows: Donard Sept 20th 1841 Sir Being informed by the war office of London that Wm Lodge who had been private in the 75 Regt of foot was discharged in the year 1836. I trouble you with this to ascertain whether he is yet in the Cape of Good Hope in any situation whatever. By kindly acquainting me with whatever you know of him you would greatly and for ever oblige. Sir Your very humble servt Francis Lodge Might I request of you Sir to direct your letter immediately after receiving this, according to the following address Francis Lodge Shop keeper Donard Dulavins Ireland I have managed to confirm that my William Lodge was with the 75th Regiment of Foot and he was discharged in 1834 (2 years before the date referred to in Francis Lodge's letter) so it would appear that my William and the William being sought by Francis are one and the same. I have tried the Wicklow list but no luck so far so anything you are able to come up with would really be great. ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com

Two brothers, John & Joseph Hagerty, married McKenna sisters, Ann & Ellen in Minnesota. The McKennas came from Providence, RI via Ireland I assume. Edmund was a Squire & wealthy, they never migrated. 1. [WEX] DOYLE in Craan 1700's
    2. I have recently learned that my ancestor, Elizabeth DOYLE, who married Edmond NOLAN, prior to 1792, apparently came from a wealthy family. She came from Craan, Co Wexford and Edmond came from Ballinrush, RC Parish of Myshall, Co Carlow. Elizabeth's dowry was the townland of Craan!!! I am just starting to search my Wexford connection, but this latest bit of news caught me by surprise. I suppose Craan wasn't that big, but for someone to own the land the townland sits on, well that sounds impressive to me!!! I don't know how accurate this bit of info is, and am not sure if I could even try to prove it. But it sounds interesting nonetheless. I am searching for sites on Wexford and found this <A HREF="http://www.rootsweb.com/~fianna/county/wexford.html">County Wexford< /A> http://www.rootsweb.com/~fianna/county/wexford.html and wanted to share . . . one good turn deserves another. I can post more as I find them. Debbie

    2. Sue Polis
    3. Robert I don't have the Griffiths CD but I do have printouts of the BOLGER section of a microfiche copy of the index. The date given is "c.1853" and there are four pages of Bolgers but only two Nicholas : Bolger, Nicholas Ballycanew civil parish Ballinamona townland map#11 p#2 Bolger, Nicholas St. Selskar's civil parish Town of Wexford Ballycanew appears to be a few miles south of the town of Gorey. My ggg grandmother Elizabeth BOLGER and her husband James ROWAN were also from the Gorey area. The summer of 1850 she and her children (William, James, Elizabeth and John) along with her nephew John CASEY (also from the Gorey area) and servant Mary PHILLIPS crossed the Atlantic to join her husband who was already in New York. I'm interested in any Bolgers from the Gorey area. 2. Philip O'Rourke
    3. Many, many thanks to all those of you who emailed me about my new Irish Ancestral Pages site (over a hundred emails). You have all been most helpful, with your encouragement and advice, and with reporting dysfunctional links. These links are now fixed, I am glad to report and much more data will be added in the coming weeks. It is still in its infant stage but with all the great advice, which I have received from those who emailed me we should be able to make a good site out of it. Many thanks once again. Kind regards Philip Irish Ancestral Pages http://www.geocities.com/irishancestralpages/

    3. Patrick Behan of Wexford married Mary Doyle and they had at least two sons, maybe born in Ireland but perhaps born after they arrived in Ontario, Canada. The sons were Patrick born 1840 and John born 1841. The two sons married O'Neil sisters, Catherine and Margaret in Ottawa, Ontario. Would anyone have any further information on the family of Patrick and Mary Doyle? Any information would be most appreciated. Jean Broadfoot, 1024 Arnot Road, Ottawa, Ontario K2C 0H4 jeanb@magma.ca

    3. I am pleased to announce that I have started to upload my new site. It is still a work in progress, but I have already uploaded births, deaths and marriages for a number of areas in the country, including Kerry Marriages 1874 - 1880 and selected Births for Wexford, with more to come over the next few weeks. Some of these files are quite large, so please be patient when loading them. There are also a number of Passenger lists and extracts from old papers and periodicals. Please feel free to email me with any comments or suggestions. Regards Philip IRISH ANCESTRAL PAGES http://www.geocities.com/irishancestralpages/
