Thanks John, when I put Calatrim in Google, I only got the name of a horse (!) and that Calatrim was used in various slimming compounds. Margaret. If you would like to get in touch off list, I have Gravestone Inscriptions of Kilbrogan Church of Ireland, and there some Hornibrooks there. Callatrim is North of Bandon about 3 miles. John Patrick
Margaret. I just read your query on Callatrim and Hornibrook. Yes they are authentic, and in the Co. of Cork. Townland Parish County Rev Saml Hornibrook- Callatrim Kilbrogan Cork. Mrs Henrietta Hornibrook as above. Thomas Hornibrook as above. There are about 30 all told, in Cork. They were found in Griffiths Valuations 1848-1864. You can get the complete list by putting . Griffiths Valuations 1848-1864. into your search engine mine is Google. Hope I have been of some help. John Patrick Griffiths from a bright and dry Port Talbot in Wales.
I have now had a birth certificate that I applied for from Roscommon for Daniel Collins B 21st August 1870. His parents are given as Michael (Collins Calatrim) and Frances formerly Hornibrook. Can anyone explain Calatrim (place?) and have you heard the name Hornibrook. I realise that sometimes spelling of names is not accurate so maybe that's an approximation. I know this is the Wexford site and I'm asking about Cork - as Cyril once pointed out but it's the name Hornibrook that sounds to unusual. Margaret in Edinburgh.
I'm looking for info on Daniel Coughlan, born about 1783, presumabely in Wexford, involved in the 1798 rising and therafter resident in co. Kilkenny. Died 1865. thanks J. C.
Hi Cyril, today I received the genealogy pack from Yola with the costs etc. From what I've read here, they do not act quickly when the forms are returned but has anyone had a good result from them? They are not cheap.Margaret ----- Original Message ----- From: "Cyril Newsome" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, May 16, 2006 1:28 AM Subject: Re: [WEX] extant > Hmmmm! > > Can I e'er walk the Streets of Wexford in safety? > A Similar thing seems to have happened in a County not too far away some > years ago, the only thing there is that The Heritage Centre was and still > is, run by the County Council... > > Nice to hear you are getting a result (of some sort) Margaret. Yes, I did all right with Yola once about three years ago. I printed out an online form, filled out the form and told them *exactly* what I was looking for on my Furlongs, and then sent a check with the online form. I included the first U.S. that I had on that family and tried to give as much well-organized info as was possible. And I had included my e-mail address on the form. They typed up and e-mailed me baptism records for five Furlong children from Galbally. I never did get copies of the actual records in the postal mail though. There was no marriage record for Andrew and Anna Furlong around 1839, so I am stuck there. For those that were wondering what "extant" means - dictionary.com is handy way to find out: Still in existence; not destroyed, lost, or extinct: extant manuscripts. I have a ggg grandfather Moses Nowlan who married a Margaret Rossiter around 1807 we have not found a marriage record. However, we have baptismal records at the Cathedral in Enniscorthy for 8 children born between 1808 and 1822. The youngest child Ellen b. 11-20-1843 married a Miles Rossiter at St. David's 2-14-1843. We also have record of one child from this marriage of an Elizabeth Rossiter b. 11-20-1843. Does this fit in with your group at all?
Welcome back Hugh,...hope your recuperation is peaceful and rapid and that the road ahead is full of good health. Best regards Seán O'Rourke Gahan

Off Topic - sorry, but is anyone else having trouble accessing their tree on genes.? I can get on to the web site and do other things but for 2 days now when I press 'My Family Tree' I get the ' page unavailable ' notice. Thankfully I can still access the 'old tree' system. Tina

A Similar thing seems to have happened in a County not too far away some years ago, the only thing there is that The Heritage Centre was and still is, run by the County Council... "Hello all, I have to retract all I said about Yola who were ignoring me because they got in touch today to say they are working on my questions and I will hear from them again shortly. Margaret." Well now, isn't that a coincidence - or am I being silly that one of Yola's crew might actually subscribe to this list? Yes, I must be silly. Who would do such a thing? Silly me.
Hello all, I have to retract all I said about Yola who were ignoring me because they got in touch today to say they are working on my questions and I will hear from them again shortly.
