Thomas WESTALL was my 3G grandfather, and I have looked for him with no luck at all in 1841 census. Should have son Thomas (John) WESTALL born 1833, possibly wife Maria, +/- any siblings of Thomas John. Thomas WESTALL snr and jnr were both shoemakers. 'The Proceedings of the Old Bailey, 1674-1913' have increased their online records recently, and I think I may have tracked Thomas snr down in 1846. http://www.oldbaileyonline.org/browse.jsp?id=t18470705-name-587&div=t18470705-1661&terms=shoemaker#highlight At the trial of one MARY ANN GRANTON alias Maids for murder, ---THOMAS WESTALL. I am a shoemaker - I lodge on the third floor of the house (No. 4, Tower-street, Seven-dials, in the parish of St. Giles-in-the-fields.) —I heard Edward James Maids come home that evening—I heard a child cry after he came home, and after I heard the child cry I heard the prisoner go up stairs—I heard her say, "You shall not ill-treat my children"—a scuffle then took place between him and the prisoner—I am sure of that—the last words I heard the prisoner say were, "Take that, you b—r"—I then heard him fall down. Does anyone know where Tower Street appears in 1841 census?
