Hi Bob, I think that Jack Westall may have been my 1st cousin, once removed. According to the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Jack was 30 when he died on 15/9/1944. He was in the 5th Bn, Hampshire Regiment, service no. 4031734. Jack Westall was born sep qtr 1914 in Cardiff, Glamorgan. It's a puzzle why he was in the Hampshire Regiment as this is an English Regiment and Glamorgan is in Wales. For information, his parents were Ernest Richard Westall (b.15 May 1886, Portskewett Mon) and Florence May Webb (b. 17 Mar 1896, Barry Glamorgan), who were my grand uncle and aunt.
