In the case of Hungerford District it does not list Devizes, which has a district of its own. In order to see similar details for Devizes I tried an exercise to find any WESTALL born between Sep 1837 - 1907 and got a nil return! I tried again with the HISCOCK surname, for which know there are loads, and was amazed at the size of the list of Townships or Civil Parishes due to transfers from Pewsey District in 1936. I often use this system to illustrate why District Register Offices would find it too time-consuming to search for marriage certificates if the actual parish/church/chapel is unknown.
