Bob, I don't have the marriage certificate for George and Mary but it looks as if I'll have the get one to close this debate ;0) Of course, if this turns out to be the wrong certificate for George then we'll have the challenge of adding yet another George Westall to our family tree! By the way, I do have the marriage certificate for William Westall and Sarah Pounds (George's parents). They were married on 1 July 1837 at the parish church in Hungerford. This marriage took place just after civil registration was introduced in 1837. Witnesses were Joseph Marshall and Lucy Barnes, and William and Sarah's parents were confirmed as George Westall and John Pounds respectively.
