Everybody, John Newton Westall b 1815 in Ramsbury, Wiltshire was living at 29 High St in the 1851 Census. As I type this I am looking at the Satellite picture of Ramsbury and I have enlarged it to the point that I can clearly see the buildings on High ST, Ramsbury, Wiltshire. High St extends from Back Lane to where the name changes at the intersection Oxford St., High St, Scholard's Lane, and Back Lane. Amusingly if you look at Back Lane and High street from above they look like an American Football with Burdett St cutting the football in half. I apologize if I sound excited but I have struggled for years trying to understand the geography and relationship of one town with another and this map gives me all of that in one shot! The detail is a bit muddy here but it's not difficult to buy clear printed copies that would provide far better definition.
