I know you have an interest in the wider WESTALL picture, I was just wondering if you had a particular interest in this family, rather than a general one. Presumably the latter. I have still got no further back than Thomas WESTALL c 1805 - 1807, Reading, Berkshire, a boot and shoemaker living in London in all known censuses bar 1841 - still not managed to find him. I don't think I will find him now, I have looked under all combinations possible. He was my 3G grandfather, and I would dearly love to find out more about him and his origins.
