Margaret, Don't give up the ship. John Westall b 1816 (Mick) is another tough one that I have not given up on yet! :-) Bob -----Original Message----- From: westall-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:westall-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Margaret Wilkinson Sent: Sunday, August 03, 2008 2:08 PM To: westall@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [WESTALL] Booth Winkley Westall b 1844, Manchester, Lancashire, Eng. I know you have an interest in the wider WESTALL picture, I was just wondering if you had a particular interest in this family, rather than a general one. Presumably the latter. I have still got no further back than Thomas WESTALL c 1805 - 1807, Reading, Berkshire, a boot and shoemaker living in London in all known censuses bar 1841 - still not managed to find him. I don't think I will find him now, I have looked under all combinations possible. He was my 3G grandfather, and I would dearly love to find out more about him and his origins. Hi Bob, Thanks for the mention, can I correct you please. John Westall's birth date is around 1811-1813 as far as my records show. Perhaps one day some evidence of his birth etc will come to light but no luck so far. I think your idea of a web site in the future showing all the Westall clan is a great idea. Carry on the good work!
