Hi Bob, Very interesting, I know I am clutching at straws, but there is a very slim chance that this William and Ann could be the parents of my John Westall (born between before 1813 in St James parish, Westminster). I don't know if there are any parish records available to see if he had any other children prior to Eliza whilst they were living in Liverpool. The IGI doesn't show any likely candidates. Another thought, is this family shown in the 1851 census - this would give a place of birth.
