Does anyone know who the William Westall was from Kintbury or Hungerford who was sent to (I think) Tasmania for participating in riots about 1830? This was a time when agricultural labourers were starving and rose all over the southern and eastern counties of the UK, and the ruling classes came down extremely hard on participants. I just read about him, had heard of him before. There is a William Westall born in Hungerford in 1796, and he does not appear in the 1841 census, so I wondered could it be him.
