Hmmm - I didn't think so..... I've just ploughed back through my emails and found that one of my correspondents, who owed me a few favours, in 2006 found the baptism of a William WESTALL, base born of a Sarah WESTALL, at Kintbury 29 March 1807. I think he's the most likely candidate as he would have been 20+ at the time of the riots, if he survived, and probably would not have known his exact age. Alternatively, in his own interests, he might have wished to make out he was younger to his prosecutors. However, I can't find evidence that a check was made of the Kintbury Burials Register to establish that this William did not die in infancy, so perhaps some kind soul with access to the Berkshire Burials CD could do the honours?
