Hi Margaret I have Charles Dransfield b. 1816 -1820, son of Robert Dransfield and Lydia (Field) as a distant connection in my Almondbury families. Hi Roger, My DRANSFIELD line is from Kirkburton originally, Thomas Dransfield and Sarah Harrop. I know of 7 children but there may have been more, but no Robert that I know of. There was a Charles b 1788, thus the name being used further down the line. My Kirkheaton connection is Rev John SUNDERLAND, curate of Kirkheaton for 40 yrs, (until 1815) who no doubt came in contact with all the Dransfields from around the area, and his daughter Hannah married John Harrop Dransfield. This is the line I am trying to track, but sometimes you need to go further back to find out things! Would be interested if you find a link.
