Could some kind soul, perhaps with local knowledge, clarify an address in the above census for me please. The PRO ref. is HO.107/1268/1, enumeration schedule 27, pages 19 & 20. The address appears to be Batley Carr roadside. Am I reading it correctly and, if so, why roadside? Was it a camp or something similar? The family I am interested in as the Brierley one on page 20.
