I am trying to find the burial of John Shay or Shaw. He was born in about 1734 in Swinton. He and his wife Ann had several children baptised at Masborough Chapel in Rotherham, his last child - as far as I know - being baptised in 1769. I think he was a seatholder in Masborough Chapel in 1764, so the family seemed to have strong ties with this chapel. Does the chapel have a burial ground? If so does anyone know where the burial records, or copies of them are? If there is no burial ground at the chapel, where is the most likely place he would have been buried?
