Hi Listers, according to White's Directory of Ripon 1837 Mrs Mary YALE has a listing under the heading Miscellany of Trades. The "business" is listed at Coltsgate Hill. Have any listers got access to any directories of the same period which might give some clue as to the nature of the business? I am also still hitting a brick wall with Mary's parents. I know her father was one, William FENTON esq and her mother was Isabella, but all the William FENTONs I've come across either died unmarried or married a different woman. I've searched the BMDs and census but William died before 1841 as Isabella is listed as a widow then. I also think that they were a wealthy family because Isabella and Mary had independent means and Mary later became a Chancery Lunatic. Apologies to all who read some of this the last time I submitted it but I thought there may be some new listers since last time. Any help would be appreciated Regards Paul in Nottingham
