    3. Could someone please point me in the right direction for finding the Parish Registers or Bishops Transcripts for Bradford Parish Church? I am hoping to find these records from the 1600's up until government registration in 1837. Also would be interested in finding registers for Zion Methodist New Connexion, Ovenden. Thanks in advance for any information. Jim Butterfield

Baptisms, marries and burials all date from 1599. There are fiche copies at the Bradford Archives and the BTs are at the West Yorkshire Archive Service, Sheepscar, Leeds. Births and christenings for the Zion Chapel, Methodist New Connexion, Ovenden, from 1799-1837 are at The National Archives. Births and baptisms 1775-1979 and burials 1887-1927 are also at the Calderdale Archives, Halifax. -- Roy Stockdill Editor, Journal of One-Name Studies Guild of One-Name Studies website: www.one-name.org Newbies' Guide to Genealogy & Family History: www.genuki.org.uk/gs/Newbie.html "There is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about."
