Steve - I can offer you a little information on the FROSTs of Ackton. I trace back to a Yorkshire family named BECKWITH, one of whom, Thomas, in the 16th century married one Frances FROST, daughter and sole heir of William Frost of Ackton (this according to the various Visitations). Their eldest son Thomas Beckwith was baptised at Featherstone 3 Apr 1569. This Beckwith branch was "of Ackton" for at least three generations, perhaps four. Sorry I can offer nothing more on this Frost family.
