There are various things to bear in mind, like Frederic(k) Henry Evans may have genuinely believed he was born in Haworth because his mother told him so. Did he know who his father was? Probably not, if he was illegitimate. Could he have been born elsewhere? Yes, very much so - in places like Keighley, Bradford, etc, both of which included Haworth in their immediate areas and registration districts. -- Roy Stockdill Guild of One-Name Studies: www.one-name.org Newbies' Guide to Genealogy & Family History: www.genuki.org.uk/gs/Newbie.html "There is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about."
