    3. Hi, There is another way. Steve Whitwam and others have transcribed marriages from St. Peter's Huddersfield. He has a web site http://www.whitwam.co.uk/records.htm Go to Searches and I think you will find offers of free look-ups for St. Peters. The information varies, some of the ones I have give wife's maiden name and location. It gets a bit harder once you move beyond the 1837 BMD starting date. I am fortunate enough to have ancestors who stayed put and I found many baptisms registered in the Slaithwaite Parish Records which could be bought in booklet form from the Huddersfield & District Family History Society. There are also a group of people willing to help with library look ups too. I recently acquired a couple of interesting Wills for two of my ancestors and they were quite detailed and listed the married names of their daughters (that was a bonus) and discussed dividing up property and land.
