Hi List, I've just joined, so here are may family name interests: SAYLES/SALES from Rotherham (Bramley) traced back to Pigburn (now Pickburn) and Hampole areas. Names change from SAYLES to SALES in 1841 census presumably none of the family could read or write. Wives included LONGDEN and SCHOLEY. My brick walls are: 1. Finding more info on Annie Elizabeth LONGDEN b.1859 d. 16 Aug 1896 married Arthur SAYLES both from Bramley on 30 Sep 1885. Her father was William LONGDEN. I no nothing of her mother. 2. Confirming that Thomas SALES b. 1796 at Hampole was the father of George SAYLES b.1827 at Pigburn, Brodsworth and if so more info on Thomas (his father, wife etc.). 3. Confirming that George SCHOLEY b. 1799 at Adwick Upon Dearne was the father of Charlotte SCHOLEY b. 1822 at Bramley, Rotherham d. Sep 1901 and if so more info on George (his father, wife etc.).
