    2. The Joshua Batty in Wakefield prison is probably the one who was tried for stealing a duck worth 1 shilling from a George Jubb in 1850. Don't have the actual date. He got seven years transportation so would more than likely still be in Wakefield prison at the census in 1851. This being the case I don't see him able to marry anybody in this country in 1854.
