Unless the register also > states the DoB, you can never be quite sure> Quite right. A baptismal date often means little with regard to a birth date. I have seen numerous cases of couples baptising three or four children at once. This can mislead beginners into thinking they have a case of multiple births - not so! I have also come across cases of people being baptised as adults, though this is usually recorded in the registers if so. -- Roy Stockdill Professional genealogical researcher, writer & lecturer Newbies' Guide to Genealogy & Family History: www.genuki.org.uk/gs/Newbie.html "There is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about."
