Hi Andy......sounds like the age old story that has been retold so many times that the players get muddled. I was always told that my grandfather first immigrated to New Orleans before settling in New York state. When I started this lark, I found that it was my grandmother's father who first went to New Orleans.....there is always a grain of truth, but the story tends to get muddled.
