My main interests lie in Todmorden and Walsden. However, I have discovered a significant connection to Hebden Bridge and the Township of Wadsworth in the late 18th and early 19th centuries for surnames: CROSSLEY EASTWOOD ASHWORTH. All families have strong Baptist connections and seemed to have been members of the Wainsgate and Ebenezer Baptist Chapels of Wadsworth. Those who broke away from the Baptists used the old church at Heptonstall. One of my CROSSLEY ancestors was John, who founded the John Crossley & Sons Manufacturing business at Hebden Bridge.
