I have a vague memory that the Society of Genealogists may have a book of the Birstall registers from those dates. I seem to remember coming across it when I was trying to find my (still elusive) Wike deaths for John and Nancy Hanson. If Janet has no luck, I should be happy to do a quick check for you, but I shall not be back in England until mid-august. Let me know how you get on.
