I wish to thank all of you who replied. After 12 months of genealogy I hadn't realised the significance of the 1752 date for England. In particular, I would like to thank Mr. Stockdill for his expertise in all things relating to genealogy. Yes, I have 'lurked' in the shadows reading some very interesting posts and I feel I let myself down by posting a thread that I should have been expected to know, if I had purchased a 'good' genealogical book to start me off. Nevertheless, there has been some interesting posts that I have enjoyed.
