Burial Indexes for Sheffield are available from SDFHS or we can help along the way. 3. Have you looked through FreeBMD for any of these BMD's after 1937(July) that's when civil registration started. 4. Sheffield City Council also have a BMD web site that is still at early days for data but worth looking at. Births start 1837 to about 1866 at the moment. http://libplugins.sheffield.gov.uk/bmd/ the 1841 census index and lots of other material you will find on http://sheff-indexers.thewholeshebang.org Sidney Thorpe married Mary Hobson between April - June of 1837. Ref. H/76/226 at Sheffield Parish Church (Cathedral). SDFHS index CD. Sydney is buried in the General Cemetery (Non Consecrated) 31 May 1857 aged 41 from Garden St. The General Cemetery is on line for at least some of its burials.
