I agree with Jean. We two must have been the unlucky ones yesterday. I too found that the YKS parish register section of the Internet Archive site opened first time for me this morning when I tried. I have been glued to it most of the day, fitting in making meals during the day has been the only nuisance I encountered today. I have found pages and pages of at least one parish that contains the name HIRST/HURST/HYRST, a very common name in Yorkshire. I next have to go through these PRs looking for DUNHILL and variants to find which parishes they lived in. I discovered that by going to the end of a given parish's record on the site I found the index to surnames where there is an alphabetical list by first names with page numbers for each entry of where each first name appears under a given surname, if you see what I mean. Thankyou David for putting the link on the list yesterday. Regards Jenny DeAngelis Spain.
