    1. Re: [WRY] Info on a Death Certificate
    2. Jenny De Angelis
    3. Hi Ellen, Cause of death would be shown on the death certificate but not where the person was buried, or cremated. This page of the Kirklees Council, which takes in Huddersfield, is for their Bereavement Services. http://www.kirklees.gov.uk/answers/deathandbereavement/bereavementService.shtml Here you will find a link "How do I search for a grave" If you follow that link you get up a form to fill in for a grave search in PDF format. You can fill in the details of the person whose grave you are looking for and they will then search for the burial/cremation in cemeteries and crematoria in the whole of the Kirklees area. However, there is a charge for this service, as you will see on the form, and payment looks as if it can only be made by cheque. On the page link above there is an e.mail address for the bereavement services where you could ask them if you can pay with a credit card by letter or something, they may be able to take payment in that way. Just because someone died in the Huddersfield area does not necessarily mean they are buried there, they could be buried anywhere in the country. My Gt. Gt. Grandfather died in the county of Suffolk England but was buried back at home in County Durham, a good 300 miles away from where he died. Regards Jenny DeAngelis Spain <<Would someone on the List be able to tell me if cause of death and/or place of burial would show on a 1927 death registration / certificate for Huddersfield?>>
