    3. Hi Barry, Thanks for your reply.  You will no doubt see my reply to Roy Stockdill.  I haven't looked any further than Long Preston and Clapham at the moment. I found a Richard LEACH on the 1851 Census in Long Preston aged 35, a butcher born in Clapham. His parents were a Christopher LEECH and Ann CARR.  A Mary LEECH(nee WINDLE)  in Clapham in 1861 aged 77,  widow of another Christopher LEECH.  Her son William aged 53 appears to have been born in Austwick.  I need to the look at a map to see where that is in relation to Clapham, but probably not far. If it's not too mouch trouble I would appreciate the information.  Something may tie in. There is no Richard b. abt. 1782 only one b. 1837 (Yks Westhouse), son of Thomas b. 1811, LAN Wittington. I note that some of the siblings of the above Richard were b. in LANCS, Docker & Dalton. Some of the LEAKS were neighbours of my TEMPEST, if you find a link I can send you some digipics of the dwellings. Bentham is quite close to Clapham, although none of the listed LEAKS have this recorded as their birthplace, if you don't have these details I would be happy to send them if you wish. I found  Robert Leech who is in Low Bentham on the IGI bap. 21 May 1809 at Clapham son of Christopher Leech and Mary Windle.  He married Ann Willis at Clapham on the 22 March 1834. I can't link any of the others to the information I have at the minute but I'm sure they must all be connected given the close communities.  I just wish I could determine my Richard Leak's birth. I'll keep searching.
