I don't know his mother's name May Lou. That's why I'm having probs working out which of two couples is the correct one. However, I have checked the info supplied by Tracy Dunne regarding his father's death and made a note of the date of birth for MPW's known father, so if this matches one of the two birth certs I am waiting for, then as she says, it ir more than likely to be my man. I will of course then know the name of his parents and can <fingers crossed!> proceed in the usual way using the 1911 census etc. Thank you to everyone who has helped me with this.
