Two of my ancestors were blacksmiths in Cattol according to the Hunsingore parish records. My 7x great grandfather was a Richard Wright born about 1710 and the first mention of him in the parish records was in 1738 when he married Ann Burley and he died in 1768. He was succeeded by his son John born in 1741 who married Dorothy Leake in 1774 and he died in 1787 leaving one child Richard aged 13 born in 1774 who later moved to Bramham. I would be very grateful for any information about my Wright family in Cattal and where especially the smithy would have been located. I would also like to find out more about the village at the time they lived there so perhaps someone may know if a book or other literature has been published and if so where can I purchase it from..
