Until, I found an entry for a Poll taken in the West Riding a for knight which mentions Bowthwaite. I seem to remember having read something about a place in North Yorkshire which said it was not to be confused with North Riding. I notice on the map I pulled up Bowthwaite appears to be more West than East. Lefayre.
