Hi, I've been asked, off-list, how to find individual parishes; read on. The site is very poorly indexed with some of the search results (the list that appears) containing neither the name of the parish nor the 'Yorkshire Parish Register Society' volume number. This seems to be being rectified as all the most recent 30 or 40 uploads have one or the other and are repeats of already uploaded volumes. Yesterdays 129 search results actually cover only 73 YPRS volumes. To find an individual parish, in the search box at the top of the site page, use the 4 search words 'parish', 'register', 'yorkshire' and the name of the parish. If this doesn't work and you know the YPRS volume numbers covering the parish, use that as the fourth word in the form '(volume 13)'. And if that doesn't work, be patient. When I get time over the next few days I'll post to the mailing list an update of the order in which the parishes/volumes are listed and it's then just a case of counting through the entries.
