On Saturday at 12.0 noon until 12.45 p.m. we will be making a special presentation in the SoG's regional forum lecture theatre on Yorkshire family history. Michael Bunting, of the London Group, will give a brief introduction, then he will hand over to myself and Jackie Depelle. I will speak about Yorkshire record offices, archives and specialist museums and there will be printed handouts to be distributed to whoever wants them. Then Jackie, Chairman of the Yorkshire Archaeological Society's Family History Section in Leeds and of the Pudsey Civic Society, will talk about Yorkshire genealogy resources on the Internet. She, too, will have handouts available. If you are visiting the show and have Yorkshire interests, then do come by and see us! Naturally, we'd like you to buy something (!) but if you just want a chat or advice on researching your Yorkshire ancestors, then you will be assured of a warm welcome. If you have Yorkshire ancestry and live in the south-east within easy reach of London, then pick up a leaflet that tells you all about our group and how to join.
