Hello Everyone I must repeat my thanks to Roy for two reasons:- Firstly Peter Wenham's book entitled The Siege of York 1644 has arrived and it contains apparently complete lists of Burials for the York Churches for 1644 and including those not published by YPRS. Incidentally it also includes references to (capt.) Thomas Stockdale. Secondly you have kindly supplied me with the military burials at Tickhill (Doncaster) in the years 1644 and 1645. The 1645 date is referable to the Siege of Tickhill Castle. The 1644 date can not yet be referred to any military action but that may become apparent later on in my study. The point I make is that this is exactly the sort of information that I seek. If anyone else has military burials in their own familiar parish Churches for the years 1641(42) to 1646 (inclusive) I would be very happy to record them. Who would have thought for example that Adel, Addingham and Keighley would have had such military burials? Regards Peter Wood

Thanks Alan, The virtual memorials list will prove to be a great resource. Is there a way to determine on which side a "souldier" fought?
