You can do this from the uk gov web site by clicking on the GRO ref NOT known button. You will then be able to specify your requirements on the next page. You appear to have the mother's maiden name and this will ensure you receive the correct birth cert HB -----Original Message----- From: west-riding-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:west-riding-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Ian H Burns Sent: 02 August 2011 12:19 To: west-riding@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [WRY] Louise SCOTT b Huddersfield 1875 Hi Lenny I think you have misunderstood the question I was asking, or maybe I was not clear enough in my original question. I know a considerable amount about Martha Hannah Burns, who was my GG Grandfather's daughter from his first marriage and who married Walter Scott in 1874. One of their children was Louisa born 1875 - there are in fact 2 separate Louisa Scotts in the 1881 Census born 1875, both of whom have Walter as their father. I would like to order the birth certificate for "my" Louisa, if possible without having to order both birth certificates. Moving forward, by using the GRO Index and 1911 Census I have worked out that one Louisa married Ernest BARROW in the Jun Qtr 1902 and the other married George CHESWORTH in the Sep Qtr of 1904, both in Huddersfield. Similarly, I am keen to work out which is which, if possible without ordering both marriage certificates. Hopefully my question is now clear.
