Hello This may be of interest to WRY listers. I have just found out that the following book, published in 1894, was digitised last year. Details can be found at Google Books, where a search facility will give access to snippets of the contents. The complete contents can be viewed on Ancestry.com ( subscription needed). This is a very detailed history of Batley from medieval times, complete with the names of many Batley folk. I was looking for HEY family information and found a useful mention of Isaac HEY in the 1760s in a list of Churchwardens. "Records of the parish of Batley in the county of York: historical, topographical, ecclesiastical, testamentary, and genealogical" by Michael Sheard. Ian L
