I have 2 Louise SCOTTs born in Huddersfield in 1875 (one in the September quarter and the other in the December quarter), both of whom show on the 1881 Census with Walter SCOTT as their father, and I am trying to find out which one fits into my tree before ordering birth/marriage certificates, which will of course show the occupation of the fathers. The only differentiation in the 1881 census is that one Walter is a stone mason and the other is a rope and twine maker. My relative is the rope and twine maker. If anyone already has the information to differentiate between these two I would be most grateful to hear as it would avoid me having to order two sets of certificates. I would also be interested to hear from anyone who connects to this line of rope and twine makers. Ian H Burns Monkton Combe, Bath
