I am hoping someone on this list may be able to help. I have a photo of an ancestor taken between 1870 and 1913 in Halifax. He has an even sided cross medallion around his neck. If anyone on this list thinks they may be able to help I can send you the photo to view. I have searched and searched and not found what it is yet. I look forward to all your help and ideas. If it is not military it could be something connected to the Royal Antedeluvian Orderof Buffaloes. Look up RAOB. My grandfather was a member of a Halifax Lodge. All very secret and not divulged to children. I remember seeing regalia.
