    3. If anyone is looking for Dewsbury All Saints (WYAS Ref D9) on Ancestry prior to 1751, they have been indexed as Halifax St Hilda (WYAS Ref D201) by Ancestry. Not bad going as according to the West Yorkshire Archives catalogue they have no deposited registers for Halifax St Hilda prior 1903.     3. Hello List West Riding Parish Registers There was an email a while back regarding who to contact on Ancestry with regards to West Riding parish register indexing problems. Could someone advise Couple more wrongly indexed registers Kirk Smeaton register 1562-1813 as been recorded under Brotherton St Edward the Confessor Headingley St Michael 1717-1812 can be found under Harrogate St Marks Regards Lenny Beaumont (Researching Beaumonts)

    3. I notified West Yorkshire Archives, Lenny, who provided the data to Ancestry and said they would work with Ancestry to get the mis-indexing corrected. It clearly hasn't happened yet - they were aiming at August. I am simply finding work-arounds. When the name I need comes up, I check on the film image which church it is in, rather than just relying on the index.
