    3. The trick here is to use one of the other sites that many forget and that is UKBMD - www.ukbmd.org.uk This site is the portal to many of the transcriptions that are taking place directly from the original Registrar copies of the certificates and Staffordshire happens to be one of the counties covered. This shows that in 1864 James WILDBLOOD married Sarah CHADWICK/POOLE (so she could well have been married before) the marriage was in St Luke, Silverdale Many of the counties have mothers maiden name on the births from 1837 and age at death from 1837 as opposed to the GRO indexes where they are missing Regards John Hanson -----Original Message----- From: west-riding-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:west-riding-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of john ffitch Sent: 03 September 2011 13:45 To: west-riding@rootsweb.com Subject: [WRY] James WILDBLOOD married ? I am a little confused. According to FreeBMD James WILDBLOOD was married in 3Q1864 in Wolstanton, Staffs but the wife is either Sarah Chadwick or Caroline Reeves. In 1881 census James has a wife Mary, so something odd. The other marriage on the same page was Josh HALL. Tracing that did not get me anywhere Sarah Chadwick was probably born 3Q1839 or 2Q1840 Did not find a good match for Caroline Reeves But I expect you knew all that ==John ffitch Some useful websites - FREECEN - http://www.freecen.org.uk/ FREEBMD - http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/ FREEREG - http://www.freereg.org.uk/ Want to know where a place in Yorkshire is - Try Genuki http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/YKS/ ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to WEST-RIDING-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message ______________________________________________ This email has been scanned by Netintelligence http://www.netintelligence.com/email

    2. It is beginning to seem as if the safest route is to order the birth certificate of one of the children. This will give the mother including her maiden name.
