There were/are 2 Williams Streets in Castleford. The one described below on Lock Lane which is still standing and another on the Castleford side of the River just off Wheldon Lane (where I grew up), just before the old Wheldale Colliery. one is no longer there. Perhaps the West Riding Registry of Deeds would be a good place to make enquiries. There may also be some record of who paid the rates on these houses in the local authority records.
