Can someone fill in the gaps on this puzzle? I've re-read free BMD and county records and drawn a blank on both of them. James WILDBLOOD , born in Burslem, married MARY ? Sept 1/4 1864. The marriage is registered in Wolstanton. They had 3 children that I know of - James born 1864 Martha about 1865 Wellie born about 1871. Yes, I know that last is an odd name, but that's what it looks like on the census. Any information on the parents of the bride and groom and more precisely where they married, would be much appreciated.TIA. S.G.Stubbs
Hi Sharlie, I hope you're asking a Staffordshire list about this puzzle, too? All the events seems to lie there. Wellie is Nellie, a daughter, and she might formally have been Ellen or Helen: there is a Helen born at Kings Norton Sep 1870 who is possible. I think you'll need to buy the marriage certificate to see who Mary is, unless anyone knows Staffs church records. Good luck!
