    1. [WRY] James WILDBLOOD married ?
    2. john ffitch
    3. I am a little confused. According to FreeBMD James WILDBLOOD was married in 3Q1864 in Wolstanton, Staffs but the wife is either Sarah Chadwick or Caroline Reeves. In 1881 census James has a wife Mary, so something odd. The other marriage on the same page was Josh HALL. Tracing that did not get me anywhere Sarah Chadwick was probably born 3Q1839 or 2Q1840 Did not find a good match for Caroline Reeves But I expect you knew all that ==John ffitch

    2. It may be a good idea to obtain one of the children's birth certificates to ascertain the right name of their mother. I did a birth search on UKBMD and while there were three WILDBLOOD/CHADWICK births in 1865/66.....none of them have the given names that the op gave. Something is off. mary lou In a message dated 9/3/2011 10:06:16 A.M. Son James (1864) is there but not Martha or Nellie. >From FreeBMD There are only three James Wildblood marriages in all of England between 1855 and 1871 none to a Mary, however there is a James Wildblood marriage to Ann Greatbach Sept qtr 1864 in Wolverhampton 6b 722 Also Ann Wildblood, age 46 died Wolverhampton June qtr 1876 and Annie Wildblood, age 25 in Wolstanton March qtr 1875 Using the Marriage locater with the BMD info unfortunately cannot define the church where the marriage took place but it suggests either Wolverhampton St Mary or Handsworth St Mary in West Bromwich See www.marriage-locator.co.uk/ For other details you will need the marriage certificate Mel Smith Whitby, Ontario, Canada -----Original Message----- From: west-riding-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:west-riding-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of maggiemole@aol.com Sent: September 3, 2011 4:11 AM To: west-riding@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [WRY] James WILDBLOOD married ? 3. Hello list, The queries about John WOODHEAD prompted me to ask if anyone has information about other Woodhead families in Yorkshire. My gg grandfather Thomas WOODHEAD was born in Halifax c1796, according to the 1851 census, living in Lancashire, where he has been at least since 1817 when his daughter Hannah was born, having married Alice METCALFE in Whalley that same year; In 1861, born in Halifax, he is a corn miller living at Field End, Hinchliff Mill, Austonley, with his second wife Ann nee ION. He died in Burnley in 1867. IGI has a Thomas son of Joshua & Elizabeth baptised on 28 Aug 1796 in Halifax, but I can find nothing to confirm this one; a Joshua married Elizabeth WADDINGTON on 30/07/1792 in Hipperholme; Any help with unravelling this family will be gratefully received!
