    3. Fran: I saw your post earlier in the week. My West family moved from Georgia to Texas in 1872. I've been told they settled around Dallas, Texas. They had come via boat thru Galveston, though I can find no proof that they came through the port at Galveston. My West family (Frederick and Mary Jane) had all boys and no girls. My great-grandfather, Aurelious Henry West, was one of the sons. Aurelious and brother, James Allen West, both moved and settled in Oklahoma around 1900.
